ColumnControl

The ColumnControl extension for DataTables adds column-specific controls to the header and footer cells of a table. It has a comprehensive set of controls built in (termed content types) that provide buttons and search options to control a column and can be expanded through plugins.

Features

ColumnControl provides the following features for a DataTable:

  • 100% configurable buttons / search - easily create the UI that suits your data
  • A complete set of buttons to control ordering in the DataTable
  • Integration with other extensions such as ColReorder, FixedHeader and more
  • Extensive search capabilities, including logic conditions suitable for a column's data type
  • Search lists with Ajax integration
  • Customisable dropdowns to provide a clean UI for your end users
  • Seamless state-saving integration with DataTables.

And much more! As with all DataTables extensions it can of course have all language strings localised, has complete documentation, and has styling integration with all of the DataTables supported styling libraries (e.g. Bootstrap, Bulma, Fomantic UI and others).

Specifically, note the following controls in the table header:

  • Ordering indicator / button
  • Dropdown with additional ordering options
  • Position and Office dropdowns have a search list
  • Second row in the header has search inputs

This is just one possible configuration, for example, ColumnControl makes it trivial to have search inputs in the table footer, or to just have the order button in the header, etc. Check out the full set of examples to explore more of ColumnControl's capabilities.
